This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our class motto is "We only get stronger when it gets difficult." This quote explains our class well because we are constantly trying to challenge ourselves in new, fun ways.
Our school is a low-income school with many of our students living in poverty.
This year I will have third, fourth, and fifth grade gifted and talented students. They are highly motivated independent learners. They love being challenged and experiencing great learning moments.
My Project
My class is looking to purchase materials to enhance our STEM learning through math. We would like to purchase a classroom kit of colorful assortment of over 400 reusable connectors plus over 500 geometric cardboard shapes to make building complex 3D prototypes, architectural and engineering models easy.
Our class would love to bring our geometry and STEM skills to a more hands on learning by using these materials to create a mock tiny home.
These supplies would give us that opportunity to enhance these skill while also using our creativity.
