Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are highly motivated learners that love to acquire new information each day. Each student arrives to my classroom ready to learn and explore. I love seeing the progress that each one of my students makes each day.
My students are the first in their homes to learn to speak English.
My students' parents encourage their children to get an education, but lack the literacy skills to help their children at home. Students in my classroom encourage each other to reach academic goals and model kindness throughout our school.
My Project
My students come from low income homes and need hands on materials to reinforce their learning.
STEM activities increase student knowledge in science and leads to an increase in their English Language Development.
Science is the first step in learning that will help my students in their future careers. This project will allow them more experiences that will encourage their knowledge in science and engineering. Materials like these help my students have a better understanding in the new science standards and help increase their vocabulary in the English language.
Thank you for supporting students in their quest for knowledge in this 21st century world.
