My Students
My students are amazing! I teach second grade in a high poverty environment with over 90% free and reduced lunch. We try our best not to let this interfere with the learning that takes place. We make accommodations, as needed, so that everyone can be successful. We make learning our number one priority! My students all want to learn. We have many distractions that can hinder our learning but try our best to overcome them!
They love to use technology to help them learn!
I love to use technology with my students on a daily basis. Our school is over 90% free and reduced lunch, and providing as much for our students while at school is very important to help them grow academically and succeed in the world today. I strive for each any every student to succeed to their highest potential, given any circumstances. We want learning to take place!
My students are hard-working and are eager to learn. I want this mentality to continue through their lives. We want to become lifelong learners!
My Project
Kids need time to create and use their imaginations every day. At my school we do this during Genius Time. ZOOB BuilderZ will be perfect for kids to use during that time. They will be able to plan, design, and build a variety of structures with the kits.
When kids are free to use their imaginations, there is no limit to what they can create.
Seeing their creations come to life increases their confidence, which carries over into other areas of school. Building with the different shapes and sizes of these pieces will also develop their spatial reasoning skills.
Many students don't have access to building toys like this at home, which makes it even more important for them to have the opportunity to use them at school. Who knows? These ZOOB BuilderZ might inspire the world's next great architect, engineer, or designer, thanks to your generosity!
