My Students

My students live in a small community in Central Ohio with over 56% of our students living in poverty, with many even homeless. Our school, like others, is trying to provide our students with the best education possible and help set them up for lifelong success. We have been doing this by trying our best to teach to different learning styles, by individualizing learning, and incorporating technology and project-based learning whenever possible.

My school has recently switched to a hybrid educational model to engage, challenge, and enrich our students in the learning process through technology and project-based learning curriculum.

Students are constantly changing and so are we.

My Project

I am asking for materials that will allow my students to complete STEM activities. I am asking for dissecting earthworms and frogs as well as dissecting equipment for my students to learn about life science and learn about lab safety. I am asking for stikbots as my students will be doing project based learning with these. The other supplies will be used for STEM activities as well. My goal is simple and it is to always do my best to get students excited about science and building a love for learning. I believe all of the supplies in this project will allow me to do this.
