My Students
My school is located in New York City. There are four Pre-K rooms at this location. Three Pre-K rooms are General Education. One Pre-K Room is a Special Class Integrated Setting (SCIS). I am the Special Educator of this room requesting learning tools to enhance their learning experiences. My students love to explore nature items, wash the babies in water play, pretend with the dollhouse, build in the block center and/or cook breakfast in the dramatic play area.

My Project
The New York City Pre-K for All program has a curriculum topic that explores light. This learning unit is great fun exploring light brights, shadow shows, adding tea lights to translucent cups for patterning and/or looking through prisms. A key component to this learning curriculum for our classroom is a new lightbox. With the lightbox we will be able to explore x-rays, build with magna tiles as they glow and trace using the light behind the objects.
