This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The hydroponics kit will give students a hands on learning experience to solve real world problems and use STEM as a force for good. Students will plant their own seeds and discover the plant cycle by observing and taking care of their plants. This hydroponic unit will be used through out the year and all of K-6 will have access to this learning opportunity. I teach K-6 STEM and will use this hydroponics unit to support my students. I will integrate this unit in to science, technology, engineering, and math. My students are curious and learn best by having hands on experiences that expose them to real world problems.
