My Students

My students are from low-income families and love challenges! They are eager learners and since our school is incorporating STEM this year I feel that by providing them with exciting materials in these areas they will be able to study real-world problems and have the opportunity to solve them!

Students will also be able to develop social skills through sharing materials and assuming responsibility for cleaning up.

I can’t wait to see the exciting things they will learn!

My Project

These materials will help my students gain a greater understanding of STEM and how it works! They will be given the opportunity to do science experiments, build structures, draw and learn how robots work. They will also learn about counting using peg boards and have hands-on experiences creating their own paintings with a variety of art supplies! I am excited to see how my students will learn to use their critical thinking skills as well as their problem-solving skills as they embark on new adventures! It is my hope my classroom will discover the importance that science, technology, engineer and math can provide as they work with simple machines, building structures, counting, weighing, measuring and the life cycles of various species. These new materials will help prepare my students with 21st Century skills by giving them the chance to create and explore the concept of STEM!! It will also provide ways for students to use their imaginations and give them a deeper understanding about the world we live in!
