STEM Gamer's Club Startup: HELP Us Start STRONG

My students need Bloxels because it is not just another tech-enabled toy. It's a hands-on, brains-on, creativity and technology experience. Bloxels uniquely unlocks students’ innate creativity by leveraging something they love: video games.

My Students

Many students never get to experience some careers based on living in low income areas and lack of exposure. This club will help those students and many more explore the jobs they may never realize they succeed in. Many of my students free or reduced lunch, and our school also runs free breakfast for the students in the morning. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.

My Project

Clubs are the hook that keeps the child interested in the topic they desire to know more in! The gaming club is just one of many clubs here at West Chatham Middle. This club is being built from the ground up and is asking for your help to get the supplies needed so these students can learn the future business of gaming as designers, players, engineers, testers, and my other jobs that are rapidly growing!

This engaging classroom tool is transforming learning off the paper and putting it in the hands of students.

Imagine designing a scientific process, a historical location, or even a story about yourself! The possibilities are endless! Bloxels can be used to teach the content creation process – from the story to the artwork to some dabbling in computer science – but perhaps more importantly, the value of using the toy to teach “design thinking” skills in that collaborative environment.
