This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students come from low income families. STEM and Coding activities would be something many of these scholars have never experienced. My scholars would be beyond thrilled for the chance to experience these particular items. Please consider helping us out.

My Project

Many of my scholars come from low-income homes, as we are a Title 1 Elementary school. This project would enable these scholars to experience STEM in a manner that they have never experienced. This would increase their interest, as well as give them an enjoyable and exciting way to learn. Many of these scholars are reluctant learners, so any out-of-the-box teaching will help to excite these scholars. These students will gain a better understanding of STEM and coding skills through this project. The LEGO WeDo and Coding express will both help the students in gaining essential knowledge, when we learn about coding, as we do various lessons. We also do lessons pertaining to using the internet properly, and safely. The storytales set will be beneficial when we discuss certain parts of the story, as the students can do a culminating activity with this set which will pertain to the lesson whether it be Main idea, Beginning, Middle, and end, Setting and characters, etc This varied activities will help them to become the future leaders of this country.
