This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
From the moment my students walk in the door, they are on full life and energy as they are eager to see what new learning adventure awaits them. Our classroom is a close knit community that works hard until the time they leave the door until they head home.
My 23 students come from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances, however, they all have a desire to be successful.
They are vibrant and curious students who are eager to learn and explore the world around them. Many of my students come to school not only to learn, but also to be fed, clothed, and most importantly loved.
My Project
From bee bots to Goldilocks, this kit will help my student get in touch with their inner engineer. The Lakeshore STEM bundle will give my students a hands on opportunity to explore science and math concepts.
These materials will give them an opportunity to practice their critical thinking skills as they design, build and quench their curiosity.
The students will work in pairs and small groups to explore such ideas as building an unbreakable chair, chain reactions, and designing a house that can not be blown down. These materials are sure to keep my students engaged as they interact with the kit materials.
