We have a mixed-abilities classroom and would greatly appreciate your help! By providing hands-on science by adding a light table children can discover how transparent objects differ from solid objects. They can also experiment with these manipulatives.
In math, children can use their hands on magnetic 10 frames to increase their number sense. Ten frames are the beginning foundation for understanding the power of 10. By using hands-on appealing material children will engage by using their tactile experiences to help make connections.
In science, children will take part in the life cycle of butterflies. They will read about each stage, and then observe real caterpillars go through the metamorphosis. They will have the opportunity to predict, observe, and record. At the end of the project, we will release the butterflies.
Lastly, we are running low on paper and could benefit from magnetic sentence strips to increase our proper sentence structure awareness.
