My Students

My students come from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our school is an urban elementary school in a mid-sized city. The majority of kids in the school are eligible for free or reduced price meals and typically do not have access to a great deal of technology. Aside from the lack of resources, my students have great enthusiasm for learning. My students are eager to learn and do their best everyday. My little superstars are determined to succeed and become lifelong learners!

My Project

We begin each day with STEM inspired Innovation Stations. STEM activities are such an important component to our curriculum in all grade levels, but especially in younger learners. During the primary years, children are beginning to learn about science, technology, engineering, and math.

It is critical to ignite their learning and provide the necessary tools to make our learning geared for the future work place.

This project will provide a Magna-Tiles STEM station as well as other STEM materials. Our classroom InnovationStations incorporate the science and engineering components of STEM. Magna-Tiles, are resources that provide a variety of ways to support our curriculum!
