The goal of this project is for students to explore how forces are balanced when constructing a bridge. The item that we are requesting are structural engineering kits with everything our scholars need to learn about bridges & skyscrapers.
The best way to learn about bridges is to build them and test how well they are constructed.
Structural engineering is a topic that most students never tackle until college. Our students are innovators who enjoy building, testing and solving problems.
The collapse of the I-95 bridge and the rebuilding on June 2023 is a part of this years STEM curriculum as students investigate and learn about what makes a structure a bridge and how to build them safely.
