My Project
My middle school science students are in need of an assortment of STEM fiction books and graphic novels. Reading both fiction and nonfiction are an important part of learning and understanding science concepts. Fiction books and graphic novels bring science to life, helping students to understand abstract concepts in a more visual and engaging way. Not only will they learn more effectively, but they will also develop a deeper appreciation for science.
Having fiction books and graphic novels in my classroom will not only help my students to better understand science, but they also help to build their reading comprehension and literacy skills.
Reading comprehension is an essential skill for success in all subject areas, especially science. Reading science fiction helps to make learning science fun and engaging, and encourages my students to read more in general. These are all factors that will help to ensure my students are learning and growing as scientific thinkers.
My middle school science students are an incredibly diverse and hardworking group of students who deserve the best education possible. By providing them with access to these books, not only will they gain a better understanding of science topics, but they will also be exposed to new stories and characters that can help to inspire their creativity and imaginations. Through your donation, my students will have the opportunity to learn more about science in a more engaging way.
