My Students

Our school serves some of the district's neediest students. The students in our two Pre-K Head Start classes are economically disadvantaged with 100% of them receiving free or reduced lunch.

It is our job to help close the educational gaps and support each child with excellence as the standard.

One way to do that is to provide our students with hands-on opportunities to learn and grow. We encourage our students to learn and explore through play using different materials and resources.

My Project

The love for science and engineering can begin at a young age. My goal is to use STEM materials in my classroom to help inspire future scientist and engineers.

These STEM materials will allow my students to experience with gravity and to become problem solvers.

They will be able to use the Ramps and Ramp Storage box in our block center. My class will be able to use a variety of materials to determine which rolls the fastest. It will be a great addition to our centers.

The Magnet board and marble set will be added to our science center to help inspire future engineers. My class loves magnets. They will enjoy designing different paths for the marbles to travel. The magnet board will allow my students to work at their level.
