My Project
Our elementary school serves a diverse group of English Language Learners (ELLs) eager to learn and discover the world around them. However, language barriers can sometimes make traditional lessons challenging. To support these students, we are seeking STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) resources that provide hands-on learning experiences, enabling them to explore concepts in an engaging, language-neutral way.
STEM activities are powerful tools for students learning English because they allow students to learn by doing, touching, and seeing.
Through these activities, students can grasp complex ideas without being limited by language skills, empowering them to succeed alongside their peers. By introducing hands-on kits and interactive STEM materials, we hope to foster a love of learning, build confidence, and nurture critical thinking skills.
With your support, we can create a STEM-rich classroom where ELL students can learn and grow confidently. These resources like the magnetic tiles, reading blocks and other items will allow them to engage meaningfully with STEM concepts while building English language skills and making connections with their peers. This project will empower them to become curious, confident learners, bridging the gap between language and learning.
