This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"It's not about what it is; it is about what it can become." Dr. Seuss.
I have the pleasure of working with outstanding children.
They come to school prepared to learn and try their best every day. I teach in a Title I school with a high population of non-native English speakers. Our school is located in a low-income area, with most students receiving free or reduced-price lunch. I focus on the potential and growth of the children in my room. That growth is measured in student joy and love for learning and their engagement in classroom activities!
My Project
We need STEM Bins for first graders to develop, creativity, collaborative, communitive, and problem-solving skills. Young children learn best when they actively experience learning.
Engagement is key for my students and challenges help prepare them for the future.
The STEM Bins will support their reading skills and build on science, technology, engineering, and math understanding!
These bins will be used during Maker Space time and morning work centers. Students will be able to practice English language skills in low-stress ways and take risks while practicing natural and social interactions. Please help fund these STEM Bins to enrich my students’ academic experience!
