My students need STEM kits for engineering and design building- playground kit, tree house kits, skate park kits, and straw building kits to promote STEAM in the ART room!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are excited about creating. Our school is located in the rural Mississippi Delta. We are a Title I school where 100% of our students receive free lunches. My students don't have many opportunities outside of school to explore the arts. We are a very small community.
My students are so excited to learn about artists and mediums.
I enjoy seeing the excitement in their eyes and when a student creates an artwork, they are filled with pride and love to show it to their other teachers.
My Project
This project is for STEM engineering and design building kits to promote out of the box thinking. These kits will challenge how students think and promote higher order thinking skills to build different items.
Students need these engineering and Design kits to challenge their problem solving skills and to promote higher order thinking skills to solve problems.
These kits will allow all my students from kindergarten through fifth grade to challenge themselves to build items. These kits will allow students to work in groups to solve problems and to learn how to help others and to show others their ideas to solve the problem they are trying to solve.
