This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are excited to become fourth graders, and to celebrate the completion of our science curriculum, I have curated a project that reinforces key concepts through engaging, hands-on activities. We will use tie-dye materials to explore changing environments, creating a meaningful connection between art and science. Additionally, students will investigate motion using a marble run to experiment with Newton's Laws in an interactive way.
As a Title I school, I am always seeking opportunities to provide hands-on learning experiences for my students.
To support this, I’ve included wind chimes in the project that students can design and take home, encouraging them to observe changing weather patterns over the summer.
I will also lead small-group experiments using the National Geographic activity box and enhance instruction with Prove It! challenges and science reading passages from our learning materials.
