My Students
My students are our future leaders! They are extremely gifted, talented and capable youth who need emotional, social, educational, and future goal guidance. They are diverse and wonderful!
These supplies will allow me to teach STEM and SEW skills to ALL students in our school, I want to inspire my students to dream big, and reach their dreams!
In this school, there are two emotionally disabled units, I will have the opportunity to work with these toughest of tough kids and teach them about love, hard work, resilience, feelings, relationships, setting and reaching goals and how to love themselves and others.
I also continually run small groups that assist students in developing healthy strategies and future job skills.
My Project
I was inspired by the project "Women in STEM Exploration, Innovation & Communication through Video Production" and wanted to provide the same type of creation and STEM inspiration for the students at my school!
These legos are perfect for beginner engineers, and the Ipad will allow my students to capture their progress and create digital content to share!
So many teachers have already provided classroom lessons and project ideas regarding STEM and including LEGOS, that I included a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card so we could be further inspired by current educators and their amazing ideas.
The IF/THEN project has a broad reach, and I'd love to be a part of inspiring youth by Elizabeth Wheeler, and Aisha Lawry's examples among others.
