My students need an Epson document camera to help them visualize their STEM lessons.
This project expired on December 15, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students are extremely creative and talented youngsters who come to school eager and willing to learn everyday. Of course they all come from different cultural backgrounds, but that is what makes my job fun. I am the sixth grade math and science teacher for two classrooms. I try to incorporate a variety of teaching styles into my classroom, individual work, group activities, technology based lessons, etc. Unfortunately many of the students do not come prepared with the needed supplies to be successful. Our school is considered Title One which makes things difficult.
As a math and science teacher I always want my students to keep up with the latest advancements in technology. Having a document camera will help them do that. It keeps kids focused visually and aids with the ability to process the information. It helps with organization and note taking as well.
Presenting math problems allows students to see the process and helps with modeling.
In science, it will help create interactive notebooks and hands-on experiments. My goal is to help increase every student's academic achievement.
My students will be able to apply what they learn from clearer visual representations of the STEM lessons, instead of just listening to a lecture on it.
