My Project
We need building materials, such as wood, sticks, glue, and a variety of other materials, to help our 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students heal from the lack of in-person connection caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has significantly impacted our students' social and emotional well-being. Kiddos have been deprived of the traditional in-person interactions that are vital for their development. The absence of face-to-face connections has left many feeling isolated, disconnected, and longing for a sense of community. By providing our students with building materials, we aim to create opportunities for them to engage in a variety of creative projects that foster connection, collaboration, and self-expression.
These materials will enable students to work together creating hands-on activities that promote a sense of togetherness and shared experiences.
Through the use of wood, sticks, glue, and a variety of other materials, our students can engage in real projects that encourage them to think critically, problem-solve, and express themselves creatively. These activities will not only help them develop important STEM skills but also provide a much-needed outlet for their emotions and a means to rebuild a sense of connection with their peers.
