3D printing is a fantastic way to introduce students to computer assisted drafting programs and bringing their creations to life. This project will give them life long skills that will be valuable in many different fields of work such as mechanical engineering and mass productions. I have over 320 students a week that will benefit from this experience of creating plastic parts for a variety of projects. The children's community has a love for being creative and celebrating students abilities and successes. Several other teachers are very intrigued about the concept and want to make this a cross curricular project for math and science. Having a 3D printer would be a fantastic way to introduce a valuable skill for the 21st century student.
