STEM Classroom Supplies

Help me give my students a laptop, binders, earphones, workbooks, and STEM bulletin charts to be used at school and at home.

My Students

Our students are ready and willing to take on the challenges of a 21st century education. They have many diverse styles of learning and need exposure to 21st century learning resources. They need to collaborate with their peers and lead by example.

We are 95% African-American, 2% Haitian-American, 2% Hispanic and 1% Caucasian with 97% of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch.

Our school is located in the inner city of Miami, Florida. Although our students are faced with many socio-economic challenges, they seek a high quality education to become productive citizens.

My Project

The laptop will be utilized when a student's laptop is not working properly. He or she will use the laptop to conduct research-based projects about famous women in STEM and to complete online math assignments through programs like BrainPOP, Edgenuity, McGraw-Hill Online, and i-Ready.

The earphones will be given to the students so they can listen to STEM videos.

The 3-ring binders and dividers will house their worksheets and class notes. The webcam will enable me to conduct online classes via Zoom from my desktop.

The workbooks will be shared among the 5th and 6th grade classes. The STEM bulletin boards will be placed on the STEM wall in the class. All of these resources will allow the students to complete work in school and at home (virtually).
