My Project

Projects in STEM class require lots of materials!

Since I don't have a campus budget, we need outside funding to purchase materials for our project designs!

These materials will allow the students to create:

Structures and Simple Machines - Students will use tape, hot glue, craft sticks, pipe cleaners, paper fasteners, cups, index cards, rubber bands, spoons, bottle caps, and other materials that we already have to create cell phone stands, rockets, cranes, and catapults.

Circuits and Electronic Machines/Games - Students will use LEDs and binder clips along with materials we already have to create circuits, electric-powered machines, and electronic games.

3D Printing - My students use the Tinkercad website to create their own 3D designs. It's great for spatial reasoning because you have to think about an object from every direction. I like to offer a variety of filament colors to give them options for their designs. The key rings and gorilla glue will be used in the finishing phase of the designs (sometimes we have to glue individual pieces together rather than printing them as one solid piece.)
