My Students

I am the STEM/computer science teacher at a school in New York. The vast majority of my students are from low socio-economic backgrounds and face many hardships in their daily lives.

My students are energetic and curious, and they motivate me to create new and exciting ways to keep them engaged every single day.

They love coming into my STEM classroom because they know they will be challenged to think outside the box with a hands-on task they must work together to solve.

My Project

The 2021-2022 school year is upon us. Most of our elementary school students have not been learning in person since March 2020. This fall, students will be returning to NYC classrooms in person, with no remote learning option.

To help make the switch from remote to in-person learning a little easier, I have some fun and exciting STEM challenges planned for my students!

The pipe cleaners, paper, bells, and glue are just some of the many materials my students will be using for some "Back to School" STEM challenges.

I also want to make everyone feel comfortable and have basic cleaning supplies readily available, like tissues, wipes, and Lysol spray.

I just know that my STEM students will have an awesome school year and these classroom basics will surely help!
