This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a diverse school setting. It is a public charter school. My students come from modest income homes. They are curious, active and eager to learn. I find that hands-on activities while being creative encourages them to explore.

My Project

Hands-on learning is great for active 5-6 year olds in a STEM centered school. Manipulatives are a great way to engage young minds.

I am new to teaching K-3.

I taught two years of high school and realized that my gifts were a better fit with younger students.

A vibrant learning space with a variety of centers is needed to create an inviting space for young learners.

I need a variety of items to organize a new learning environment. I took over a classroom at the end of January. I want to build the best environment that I can for my new students.
