Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach the STEM specials class in a very large Title I school. My students love building, exploring, and collaborating in various centers in my room. The materials in this project will add to these experiences.
The marble run and die-cast cars will greatly enhance the learning opportunities for my students as we work with forces and motion, a science unit in most grades in our district.
The alligator clips are for the electricity and circuits center I am creating. I have noticed that attaching the different componenets has been the most challenging part of the activities in this center and these will aid the students greatly. The screwdrivers are for our maker center. We have many old/broken electronics that the students like to take apart. It helps them understand how things are made and the compnents that go into everyday objects.
