Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a Makerspace teacher, I enjoy watching my students grow. In Makerspace, I empower my students to "think outside the box." We focus on STEAM or Science Technology Engineering Art and Math.

My students are creative, energetic, and eager to try new things.

We are an ACE (Accelerated Campus Excellence) school focusing on social-emotional learning, relationships, positivity, collaboration, and trust. They learn through exploration and play, which promotes innovation and critical thinking.

My Project

Children are natural engineers, eager to take apart the world around them and build something new. Students in the lower grades K-2nd must first explore the basics of simple structures and design before they can understand a bridge’s suspension or the complexity of a skyscraper.

These centers are ideal activities to help students understand balance and proportion, as well as an interest in architecture, building, and design.

All centers are geared to help students spark their creativity and confidence. Supplies can be quickly disinfected in between classes which is a requirement. Safety first!
