My Students

I am the STEM/computer science teacher at a school in New York. The vast majority of my students are from low socio-economic backgrounds and face many hardships in their daily lives.

My students are energetic and curious, and they motivate me to create new and exciting ways to keep them engaged every single day.

They love coming into my STEM classroom because they know they will be challenged to think outside the box with a hands-on task they must work together to solve.

My Project

It's great to be back in the classroom with my STEM students this school year! My students are so excited to be able to continue hands-on activities and these building kits look perfect.

After reading a book with a specific theme, my students are posed with a STEM Challenge, a real-world problem that they must try to solve.

I provide each team with a different set of materials to use.

I have been searching for various, child-friendly STEM building materials to provide student choice and I would love to give these materials requested in this project a try!
