My Students

This is will my 3rd year teaching students in a whole different capacity as the STEAM cluster. I work to incorporate the five disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, ​Art and Math to bring STEAM alive in our school. My students range from kindergarten through fifth grade, and I teach a variety of learners.

My students are from diverse backgrounds, and my goal is that they all have access to projects and activities that support their needs.

From students with special needs in our Autistic Horizon classes or ICT students to our more independent learners, all students have access to STEM-related activities at all levels when they visit me. My students are excited each day and enjoy a positive project-based learning experience when they visit my class!

I look forward to listening to the buzzing and chatting in my classroom as students try new strategies, share ideas and work as a team to become problem solvers. I am thrilled when my young learners experience something new or try something they never did before. Each day brings new and exciting adventures for all my young learners in our STEAM classroom!

My Project

This project will be incorporated into my STEM classroom and will provide my young learners with chance to be creative. All students love the materials in these bins that allow them to build and create whatever they want. STEM Bins provide engineering manipulatives and sets of task cards that picture a variety of basic real world structures to inspire students to build.

When students work collaboratively or on their own they come up with some amazing ideas and structures.

They also have a chance to write, draw and discuss the steps they used to create their structure and explore with a variety of materials .
