Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with kindergarten students in an urban city. I want to provide my kiddos with every opportunity to explore, play and learn throughout the school year, that is why I am requesting magnetic blocks for our STEM bins.

My students love to design, build and create, especially when the lessons include manipulatives that are fun and engaging.

They will use these magnetic blocks to build and create during our soft start mornings, helping to transition them gently into the school day. Students will build cities and towns, and the cool designs on the blocks will help to foster their imaginative play. These magnetic blocks will help my students develop their fine motor skills, problem solving, spatial awareness, and math skills. My students consider themselves little engineers and they will learn so much as they collaboratively work to build structures and all sorts of imaginative designs.
