Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Kindergarteners LOVE to show their thinking and creativity through exploration. What better way to foster their love of learning than with new materials and manipulatives that will support and encourage their love of discovery?
I would like to create STEM bins for my students with curated, vetted materials.
These manipulatives, like the Lakeshore Blocks & Blueprints Learning Center and Slot-A-Shape Builders are developmentally appropriate and designed to help Kindergarteners in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math. The bins will allow the students to have choice with regards to which materials they want to work with. The materials will be in rotation throughout the school year. Exploration is learning!
