I am a first year teacher that has been with 54 fabulous 2nd grade students. I absolutely love teaching.
Now, I am moving into Kindergarten for my second year of teaching.
I want to prepare the best learning environment for my new little Kindergarten students. I want them to cultivate their love for learning in my classroom.
We are a Title 1 school that services a very diverse population. We have a great community, and we would love your help!
My Project
I believe it is important for children to learn through play, especially in Kindergarten. These students come in needing to learn how to learn. Using STEM bins and manipulatives whenever possible will help encourage student engagement and curiosity.
Learning through play also helps promote positive social skills.
The students will learn sharing, turn taking, and cooperative learning.
I want to be able to provide my students with a classroom full of tools that will help them be successful as they start their education career. I hope that my class will set them up with a desire to learn and grow for the rest of their lifetime.
