The items I am requesting for my classroom will help my students create and learn in a hands on learning environment. As of now, my students come in every morning starting at 8:15 until 8:40 and use STEM bins to build, explore, and create however they would like. The items requested would grow my STEM bin library and allow for even more creativity to happen.
My goal with this project is to allow my students to have more opportunities to be creative and use their imagination.
Right now I only have ten students, so what I have for STEM bins work okay. I wish I had more options for them. Next year, I will have seven more students and would love for the opportunity to be able to get them more options, so that everyone has the opportunity to build, create, and explore!
I am blessed to work in a small school! We really have the best students, who have wonderful attitudes about learning. I genuinely believe these kids are so deserving of any donations that could possibly be coming their way. Learning SHOULD be fun, hands-on, and get their minds working creatively. I want their learning experience to be something they remember and think fondly about in the future! I believe I am creating that type of environment by allowing my students the opportunity to use STEM within the classroom.
