Each year, I feel like I gain a new family. Most of my students spend as much or more time with me during the week as their parents. Like most fourth graders, they are excited and eager to learn about the world every day. They enjoy learning about anything and everything. They come from diverse backgrounds racially, culturally, and socioeconomically.
My school's community is diverse, and many of our students are immigrants to the United States.
It is wonderful having so many cultures and types of people represented at our school. Our school's focus is on inclusion and pedagogical innovation. We strive to meet the needs of all of our students
My Project
This Engineering kit will let my students explore project-based science elements, and encourage them to persevere on hard problems. Students learn best when applying concepts to real-world-based problems, and thinking about how to improve the world around them. Our hope as educators is that we are developing students' capacity to become real-world problem solvers!
My students need the opportunity to explore real-world problems, and use the engineering design process to create solutions!
Our students are the next generation of scientists, mathematicians, inventors, and innovators, and they need time to explore their capacity to accomplish hard things. Help us learn and grow!
