This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My STEM students are an energetic group that loves to learn! They start each day with a bright smile and an eagerness to know what the day will bring. My students are from a very small community in Michigan. They all qualify for free breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner.

Life is not always easy for our students, but they come to school with a smile on their faces each day and a thirst for learning.

They leave each day feeling proud of what they've accomplished.

My Project

I teach a STEM special class once a week for Kindergarten, First and Second grade students. This year I have been incorporating more stories in my STEM class and having the students do STEM challenges that center around the book. This has been very successful!

Students will be able to see and hear the story with puppets and then work in cooperative groups to build the house for the Three Little Pigs.

The nine The Three Little Pigs STEM kits allow multiple groups to be working on this challenge at the same time.

These kits will be used for many used to come. Thank you for helping to make my STEM class the best it can be!
