My students need activities that can help them learn to work through problems and figure out ways to make something work using technology and STEM activities.
I am the teacher of 3 to 5 year old children. We are in a public school and serve Exceptional Children with their unique needs as well as children within our community they may not have access to quality preschool before kindergarten. We are in a Title I school with 75% of the children receiving free and reduced lunch. The growth that these children show in their year(s) with us is amazing. I would like to give more access to technology that they may not have had access to before while keeping their attention with fun experiences and movement.
My Project
The children in my class will get hands on experiences with solving problems and learning how to make things work. They will be able to incorporate those problem solving activities with fun games and sensory activities to keep learning fun. With the Code A Caterpillar, children are learning he basic concept of coding in a hands own engaging activity. They will also have the opportunity to explore problem solving with various STEM problem solving kits. These activities will help grow these young minds into more critical thinkers! I’m excited to be able to add these activities to our classroom and help these little minds grow.
