This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The STEM and pretend play items allow my student a chance to build and play creatively to spark their imagination. The STEM toys provide students a chance to practice early science and math skills such as shapes, space, engineering, and math. The pretend play items give my students a way to play and practice real-life scenarios especially exploring the community hero playsets. These types of play items can inspire and guide young learners to understand the role their community heroes play in a community's well being. My students can construct homes and dwellings for the family play sets and farm animals. The police and firefighters can play the role of heroes and helpers for families, farms, and people.
