My Project

My students are curious, hardworking, and passionate about science. Many of them dream of becoming doctors, nurses, veterinarians, or biomedical researchers. To help them explore those goals, I am requesting fetal pig dissection kits, blood pressure cuffs, and stethoscopes to bring hands-on STEM experiences into our classroom.

The goal of this project is to make science exciting, relevant, and hands-on.

These materials will allow students to explore STEM concepts through real experiences and help prepare them for future studies and careers in science and healthcare.

The fetal pig dissection kits will allow students to study real mammalian anatomy and see how organ systems work together. This hands-on experience will deepen their understanding of biological structures and functions, making complex anatomy concepts more concrete and memorable. Dissection encourages students to think like scientists and gives them early exposure to the kinds of labs they may encounter in college or medical training.

The blood pressure cuffs will teach students how to measure blood pressure and understand its connection to the circulatory system and overall health. This activity introduces practical clinical skills and reinforces life science standards related to the human body. Students will learn to collect and interpret data—skills essential in all STEM fields.

The stethoscopes will allow students to listen to heartbeats and lung sounds, helping them explore how the circulatory and respiratory systems function in real time. These tools offer an authentic way to connect textbook learning with real-world application.

My students are dedicated and full of potential. Many come from under-resourced backgrounds and are eager to make a difference in their communities. With your support, they will gain valuable exposure to STEM tools that can inspire lifelong learning and career success.
