My Project
Hello! My class is a special education classroom in an elementary school. My project focuses on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and hands-on learning. We will use the small manipulatives to count and group, and the math game can be enjoyed by multiple students at once for a more fun way to learn, as well as encouraging social emotion learning at the same time. The handheld microscopes and geology kits will encourage exploration and wonder in science class.
Not only will your donation assist greatly in STEM learning, but we will use the ponchos and watering cans for an ongoing garden project to get students immersed in nature!
We will need rain protection in order to go outside in the pacific northwest year-round. There are other items to help with other occupational therapy needs, such as the "lab science" kit, tracing flash cards, and life skills support for a student who only likes mac and cheese and is learning to make and eat it independently.
