Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students spend time each day on an intervention program to help improve their reading, math, and science skills. They use Chromebooks supplied by the school but, unfortunately, have to supply their own headphones. Many of my students cannot afford headphones or have broken their headphones from constant usage.

Headphones are necessary to keep students focused on their intervention program without interfering with or distracting their classmates during centers or small group instruction.

It would be great to supply my students with headphones when needed in the classroom so they can learn and perform better.

My students will also benefit from and grow through hands-on experiences. These STEM activities were developed to help children think like scientists, mathematicians, and engineers as they explore the STEM design process and solve problems. The students will use a hands-on approach to plan, build, and test their designs.
