STEM Activities Helping Form Young Minds

Help me give my students the opportunity to learn hands-on in my classroom by performing these different STEM activities.

My Students

My classroom is filled with 7th and 8th-grade students ready to learn science and math. This is the first time the majority of these students are introduced to science concepts due to the fact they are students with disabilities and have specific learning deficits. They have always been pulled out of science and social studies to work on their math and English skills to try and close their academic gaps.

My students require a curriculum that is interactive and provides hands-on experiences and labs.

They need to have differentiated instruction that ranges from a 1st-grade reading level to an 8th-grade reading level. The concepts need to be presented to the students in a way that is easily comprehended but does not lack the content needed for them to excel. My students need to have an environment that offers choices to where they want to sit to help them concentrate on the concepts being learned.

My Project

My students need activities that build their understanding of science concepts while working on social skills and collaboration with their peers. The students in my classroom will you these STEM kits while we learn about renewable energy and plants. By working on hands-on projects, my students will be able to get a different look at how science is preformed in the real world instead of just learning information out of a book.

The donations you make will contribute to the learning of the students in my classroom by giving them an opportunity to use different strategies and skills to enhance their learning while completing hands-on activities.

The skills learned will help each student grow. Each student will be required to collaborate with their peers which will help them as they enter the workforce.
