This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello! Thank you for reading about my proposed project! I am so fortunate to work with such incredible children from the South Huntington School District. One of the many things that I love about our district is the diversity. We are considered a Title I school which means 40% of the children are considered at the poverty level. Despite the many challenges they face, they are always willing to participate in engaging activities and are eager to learn! I strive to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences!

Students learn best by doing and being actively involved in their own learning!

Every morning and during center work the students will have an opportunity to be free thinkers and use the manipulatives to create whatever they imagine. It will help promote critical thinking, creativity and collaboration.
