This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This activity not only helps learners visualize the behavior of wind but also allows them to make connections to real-world phenomena such as weather patterns and air currents. Students of all levels will be 100% engaged and of course, learn the uses of wind and its impact on our environment.

Using ping pong balls and a hair dryer for an activity on the wind offers an engaging and hands-on way to explore concepts related to airflow and aerodynamics.

By turning on the hair dryer and directing its airflow towards the ping pong balls placed on a flat surface, participants can observe how the balls respond to the wind created by the dryer.

They can experiment with different angles and distances to see how the intensity and direction of the airflow affect the movement of the balls. This activity not only helps learners visualize the behavior of wind but also allows them to make connections to real-world phenomena such as weather patterns and air currents.

Additionally, it encourages critical thinking as students hypothesize and test various factors that influence the movement of objects in the wind. Overall, using ping pong balls and a hair dryer for this activity provides a fun and interactive way for learners to investigate the principles of airflow and gain a deeper understanding of the dynamics of wind.
