My Students

My students LOVE SCHOOL! They come in active and excited each day, in-person or on-line, hoping we are doing something that requires them to think outside the box. Working together, my PreK-8th-grade students solve real-world problems that help create stronger thinkers and independent learners.

I couldn't be prouder of my classes and the way they treat each other like one big, slightly silly family of engineers, mathematicians, and scientists.

They are curious and creative and they truly love exploring new ideas and concepts using STEM. My students are a truly remarkable group and I am so lucky to be their teacher!

My Project

Trying to keep students engaged during distance learning is quite the challenge! We have gone from a fun-filled, engaging STEM lab to learning at home via our Google Classroom. My students try to maintain their excitement and passion for all things STEM but I can tell they are struggling, as am I.

This project will provide at-home, hands-on, and inspiring activities for my STEM/MakerSpace students to complete with their families.

I foresee an increase in student engagement and in student achievement! Together, we can recapture the passion they had for Science... before it is lost forever.
