Our school is set in a suburban community, in a large metropolitan city. Even though it is in a large area, it feels like a small community, and sheltered from the bigger city.
We have a large population of students with deployed parents, as military housing sits adjacent to our school and in the surrounding area.
The students at our school come from a variety of backgrounds and ethnicities, and many students choose to come to our school from other neighborhoods.
Our school offers a challenging but rewarding program, with excellent, student-centered teachers. Our science lab serves all the children in our school, from TK through 5th grade, where students participate in hands-on science and engineering enrichment activities that help to prepare or encourage them to take on a science mindset and develop critical thinking skills.
My Project
The Microsoft Surface Go will bring additional technology capability and exploration to our science classroom. By bringing in the the power of digital drawing and design, students will be able to try on new applications of STEAM career tools that they might not have experienced previously.
By supporting this project, you will provide my students with the opportunity to bring engineering designs to life.
The Science Lab is the perfect place for students to try on new and innovative technologies which are engaging and stimulate creativity. The Microsoft Surface Go, stylus, and supplies will go a long way in our STEAM makerspace.
