Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have been using their their 3D printer to look up favorite images and learn how slice and print them. This uses their phonics as well as researching skills to locate things of interest to them, as well as basic researching.
Our plan is to get the 3D printer up and running as soon as possible, and have on hand some things that they will need to keep it functioning for a while to come.
I have been working with 3D printing for a little while now and I feel confident that the skill is one that can be accomplished (with adult scaffolding) by students.
To help our project, I want to back have some backup equipment on hand, including spare resin vats (as well as to help change color or the resins, and some earphone splitters so students can share their work with a friend while it prints.
