My Project
Language is everywhere—including science, technology, and art. A STEAM station encourages students to connect ideas across subjects, which deepens comprehension and fosters real-world thinking. Not every student thrives through text alone. STEAM tools like models, coding kits, or art materials give students new ways to process and express their understanding of literature, writing, and rhetoric. For ELLs or students with different learning needs, a STEAM station can provide alternative ways to engage with and demonstrate understanding of texts.
Whether it's designing a prototype inspired by a dystopian novel or programming a robot to act out a scene, students are practicing logic, sequencing, and innovation—all skills that strengthen argumentative writing and literary analysis.
This project will help create STEAM stationin our classroom to have all our options in one place with some room to grow!
