My Project

Gifted students may be able to coast through academics because they are so bright. However, in real life, there will be times when they struggle. It is so important that they learn the skills of perseverance, patience, and persistence through complex tasks. They are sponges…thirsty for challenges, ready to GROW and S-T-R-E-T-C-H their brains! The games and card games requested are great STEAM resources that are challenging, engaging, and rigo ous. They will provide learning experiences that foster a growth mindset and build resiliency, where failures and mistakes are encouraged. In-depth explorations, creative thinking opportunities, and STEAM tasks help to develop their communication, team-building, critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Connecting STEAM activities to career pathways will help students see the relationship between innovation and real-world problems sol ng.

They will see themselves as potential scientists, engineers, and designers who can make the world a better place. These interests lead to recognizing that college and career programs benefit achieving their goals and are fun and rewarding. This project will be sustainable for years to come and will be used during Gifted Resource and shared with teachers who teach content areas related to STEAM.
